According to TrendForce's latest industry research, global OLED display shipments are projected to reach approximately 644,000 units in Q32025, representing a 12% quarter-on-quarter increase and a 65% year-on-year surge. This robust growth is reshaping the competitive landscape of the display market.

Driven by high-end e-sports demand, the market continues to expand

TrendForce's analysis indicates that this quarter's growth was primarily driven by the surge in high-end esports demand. OLED panels, with their inherent advantages including high-definition visuals, wide color gamut, high contrast ratio, and ultra-fast response, have gained significant traction among esports players and professional creators, especially with the growing adoption of refresh rates above 240Hz. Meanwhile, aggressive marketing and channel investments by major brands have further boosted overall shipments.

The global OLED display market witnessed a significant shift in brand share during the third quarter.

ASUS (HuaShou) claimed the top spot for the first time with a 21.9% market share, securing the title of the quarter's top-shipping brand. Its success stems from a comprehensive strategy in the premium market, featuring popular ROG series, ProArt series for professional creators, and innovative portable dual-screen and foldable displays. TrendForce predicts ASUS will maintain its global leadership in shipments throughout 2025.

Samsung (SMBK): Holding the second position with 18.0% market share. The company maintained steady shipment performance in the first three quarters. With the mass production of new models in late Q3 and the launch of year-end promotions in Q4, Samsung is expected to see a new wave of shipment growth by year-end.

MSI (Microstar): Maintains its third-place position. With over 20 OLED products spanning mid-to-high price ranges and a strong focus on UHD high-resolution models, MSI has successfully established itself in the highly competitive market.

LG Electronics (LGE) holds a 12.9% market share, ranking fourth. After completing production line relocation and launching new products, LGE's position improved compared to the second quarter. With the mass production of 45-inch models and the implementation of promotional strategies, LGE is poised to challenge the top three market positions in the fourth quarter.

Annual Outlook: OLED Technology Accelerates to Mainstream

Looking ahead to 2025, TrendForce forecasts global OLED display shipments will reach 2.62 million units, with an estimated 84% annual growth rate. The strong third-quarter 2025 performance underscores the explosive demand for OLED technology in the premium market. With advancements in QD-OLED technology, expanded panel production capacity, and enriched brand product lines, OLED displays are rapidly transitioning from niche high-end to mainstream markets.
